The editor-in-chief of Howard Magazine presented me with the opportunity to design supporting art for an article on data science within the inaugural virtual release of the digital edition of Howard Magazine, which featured an article on the "Future Howard".
Art Direction, Design & Illustration
Adobe: After Effects, Illustrator
Utilizing Illustrator, I drew four characters dressed in custom "Future Howard" apparel that would serve as the students.
With the brief in mind, I began conceptualizing what a future classroom experience would be at The Mecca in continuation of the tone set by the cover. Beginning in Illustrator, I used shapes, colors, and opacity variations to build: the desk, levitating screens, and "CPU" dock. I then brought each asset to life with the use of After Effects.
In addition to the above animation, I was asked to create illustrations that could be used as supporting art within the article on data science. Using Illustrator, I created personalized characters and assets out of vector shapes and colors.
